Seeing a picture for the first time activates a specific part of the brain, while seeing a familiar picture activates another. BRAIN Initiative scientists programed computers to identify the cells used when someone sees the familiar picture based on brain recordings from over 1500 cells! Using computers to speed up analysis of complex brain data helps scientist make discoveries faster!
