The 2026 BRAIN Initiative® Conference convenes grant awardees, staff, leadership from the BRAIN Initiative’s federal and non-federal partners, and anyone interested in neuroscience and BRAIN Initiative-funded research. Conference participants discuss the latest scientific developments and exciting research priorities for technology-driven innovation in neuroscience. It provides a forum for collaboration, discussion, and coordination across the BRAIN Initiative community. This in-person conference is free and open to the public.

The BRAIN Multi-Council Working Group (MCWG), which works to ensure a coordinated and focused effort on BRAIN across NIH, will hold a virtual meeting on Friday, May 8, 2026. The meeting agenda will be available closer to the meeting date. A recording of the meeting will be available for viewing after the event on the BRAIN Initiative YouTube channel.
