The BRAIN Initiative® Alliance (BIA) released its first Toolmakers Newsletter of 2024 with a fresh, new look! This issue describes three neuroscience tools that are supporting neuroimaging data analysis, cell monitoring and manipulation, and neuroimaging data storage:

brainlife.io by Dr. Franco Pestilli, a cloud computing platform with thousands of users around the world and hundreds of apps to help with neuroimaging data analysis.

CellREADR (Cell access through RNA sensing by Endogenous Adenosine Deaminase Acting on RNA) by Dr. Z. Josh Huang, a tool that grants genetic access to cell types and states by using an RNA sensing and editing method.

BossDB (Brain Observatory Storage Service and Database) by Dr. Brock Wester, a large database that hosts over 1 petabyte of compressed, high resolution neuroimaging data.
