Have you read the latest BRAIN Initiative Alliance newsletter featuring innovative software tools? BRAIN scientists are invited to share their tools with the scientific community in the Toolmakers Newsletter. These newsletters spotlight BRAIN Initiative investigators with tools, technologies, or theories ready for distribution to the research community to advance neurotechnology.
The BRAIN Initiative Alliance (BIA) released its final Toolmakers Newsletter of 2023! This special software issue has insights and highlights of four software tools that are helping the neuroscience community with data storing, visualization, analysis, and sharing:
- PET2BIDS by Anthony Galassi, a library created from the OpenNeuro platform that supports positron emission tomography (PET) data conversion into the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS).
- BCI2000 by Dr. Peter Brunner, a widely used open-source brain-computer interface (BCI) system for electrophysiological experiments.
- The Data Archive for the BRAIN Initiative (DABI) by Dr. Arthur Toga, a large data archive for human and non-human neuroscience data that accepts data from many different formats.
- Brain Modeling Tools: Brain Modeling Toolkit (BMTK), SONATA, Visual Neuronal Dynamics (VND) by Dr. Anton Arkhipov, a collection of tools that complement each other to help build, store, and visualize brain models.
