Don’t miss the National Eye Institute’s upcoming Visual NeuroPlasticity Workshop

This free virtual workshop will take place on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, to discuss the circuit basis of neuroplasticity and its mechanisms. Registration is now open.

Are you interested in learning more about how the visual system creates changes in the brain? Or about the latest neuroscience tools and techniques designed to help us better understand these changes? Whether you are an expert or new to these topics, you can join the National Eye Institute’s Visual NeuroPlasticity Workshop on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET. You’ll explore the concepts that researchers use to learn about the polysynaptic, cellular, circuit, and behavioral mechanisms behind visual neuroplasticity.

Workshop registration is now open!

This free virtual workshop features four sessions, each devoted to a different mechanism of neuroplasticity. Workshop topics include:

  • Session 1: Cortical cellular mechanisms
  • Session 2: Functional reorganization
  • Session 3: Subcortical mechanisms
  • Session 4: Retinal remodeling

Most of these sessions feature BRAIN Initiative-funded researchers, including Rafael Yuste (Session 1); Jianhua (JC) Cang and Hey-Kyoung Lee (Session 3); and Cagla Eroglu and Greg Field (Session 4).
