The Shared European Brain Research Agenda has entered its second stage to create a framework for advancing brain research. The European Brain Council is now accepting public feedback until April 30 to incorporate into the draft framework.
The Shared European Brain Research Agenda (SEBRA), launched by the European Brain Council (EBC) in 2019, aims to identify research and funding opportunities to accelerate basic and translational brain research in Europe. SEBRA considers various interests in brain research fields, including psychiatric and neurological disorders. The project has entered its second stage with a draft serving as a framework for future brain research in Europe. Such a framework will accelerate the development of basic, translational, and clinical research, improve patients' life quality, and address European as well as global health and economic challenges.
The EBC is now accepting public comments to ensure the framework covers a broad perspective from different stakeholders, including scientists, associations, caregivers, advocates, and other relevant parties at the European and the international level. Responses to the consultation will provide direct feedback on the final content of SEBRA and ensure that all community perspectives are appropriately included in the document, which will be presented to institutions like the European Commission to highlight and attest to the need for a brain health partnership.
Responses will take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete, and the survey link is available here. The invitation is open until April 30, 2022. A full version of SEBRA is available here.
