Join the BRAIN Initiative’s “Patient Recruitment in Deep Brain Stimulation Clinical Trials” virtual workshop

The workshop, taking place August 8, 2023, provides an opportunity to discuss and understand the current barriers to recruiting patients and diverse populations for clinical trials of deep brain stimulation (DBS). Registration is now open! 

Would you like to learn more about patient recruitment in DBS clinical trials? Join us for the Brain Research Through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies® (BRAIN) Initiative’s virtual workshop on “Patient Recruitment in DBS Clinical Trials,” on Tuesday August 8, 2023, from 1-6 p.m. ET. 

The workshop is presented by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, through the Division of Translational Research, and is a precursor event to the annual DBS Think Tank meeting. The workshop will include experts in DBS research, device regulation, and engineering, and will include a roundtable discussion on the barriers and facilitators to enrollment and recruitment in DBS clinical trials. 

The workshop is open to the scientific community and the public at large. Please register for the virtual workshop and view the full agenda online.
