DataJoint and Neurodata Without Borders will host three exciting workshops that feature tools disseminated through the BRAIN Initiative U24 Research Resource Grants for Technology Integration and Dissemination. Applications for the workshops are now open.
The NIH BRAIN Initiative U24 funding opportunity provides up to 5 years of support to projects aiming to broadly disseminate developed and validated tools and resources. These projects are highly relevant to specific goals of the BRAIN Initiative.
The following workshops are supported in part by two of these NIH BRAIN Initiative grants—DataJoint Pipelines for Neurophysiology (U24NS116470) and Advancing Standardization of Neurophysiology Data Through Dissemination of Neurodata Without Borders (NWB) (U24NS120057).
DataJoint SciOps Summit 2024
April 15-16, 2024
Houston, TX
In this two-day workshop, participants will learn to set up data management and analysis for neurophysiology studies using the DataJoint Elements digital resource and other open-source tools. No experience with these methods is required to apply. For registration and more information, visit the workshop webpage.
NWB Developer Hackathon 2024
April 17-19, 2024
Houston, TX
This three-day workshop, hosted by DataJoint, will bring neuroscientists, tool builders, and research software engineers together to further the development of the NWB software ecosystem, including the data standard, core NWB software, and community tools. Visit the workshop webpage.
NWB Data Conversion Workshop 2024
June 12-14, 2024
Virtual
In this three-day workshop, participants will learn how to convert their data to NWB and publish it in the DANDI archive. Attendees will be trained starting from the basics and proceeding to advanced data engineering techniques. Participants will also gain experience with NWB GUIDE, a no-code user interface for data conversion. Registration is now open through a Google form.
