The BRAIN Initiative photo and video contest is now open through Monday, April 15, 2024.
The BRAIN Initiative has been funding ground-breaking neuroscience research since 2014. Many innovative tools, resources, insights on neural circuit function, and first-in-human trials have been made possible by BRAIN Initiative researchers over the past decade.
As we prepare to mark our 10th Annual BRAIN Initiative Conference, we are excited once again to launch the yearly photo and video contest. This unique contest is an opportunity to showcase the stunning, colorful, and inspiring images captured by today's advances in neurotechnology. We’re excited to announce that this year’s contest is now open, and we can’t wait to see your creativity.

What: 2024 BRAIN Initiative Photo and Video Contest
Who: All those engaged in the BRAIN Initiative regardless of discipline, career stage, or funding source
When: Entries accepted March 25 – April 15, 2024
How: Please submit your pictures in jpeg, gif, or png formats at a minimum 300 dpi resolution, and a range of 1-10 MB in size. Videos should run no longer than 30 seconds and be submitted in .MP4 formats at less than 20MB in size.
The 2024 Program Committee for the 10th Annual BRAIN Initiative Conference will review anonymized entries and narrow the field to the top six photo and top six video entries they feel capture the creative spirit of the BRAIN Initiative. The finalists will be posted online in May for public voting. The top three photos and top three videos will be announced as part of the 10th Annual BRAIN Initiative Conference—with prizes!
