The NIH Blueprint and BRAIN Initiative Diversity Specialized Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Advancement in Neuroscience (D-SPAN) Award (F99/K00 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) [RFA-NS-24-030] supports graduate students from diverse backgrounds as they cross career stages. It facilitates the completion of the doctoral dissertation (1-2 years) and the transition of talented graduate students to strong neuroscience research postdoctoral positions (up to 4 years). This award also provides career development opportunities relevant to their long-term career goal of becoming independent neuroscience researchers.
