OpenScope Program, DANDI Archive, Neurodata Without Borders (NWB), and The Kavli Foundation co-host an upcoming Open Neurodata Showcase on Wednesday, September 28, to promote neurodata analysis in NWB and DANDI. This event is open to the public. 

Dr. Preeya Khanna is a F32 award recipient who used the funding opportunity to study motor control restoration after stroke. The F32 funding opportunity supports the research training of promising researchers early in their postdoctoral training period.

Last month, members of the NIH BRAIN Initiative Neuroethics Working Group (NEWG) and Multi-Council Working Group (MCWG) discussed research-related care needs for trial participants, emerging ethics themes, the annual BRAIN Initiative meeting, and more.

On August 23, 2022, the BRAIN Initiative Neuroethics Working Group (NEWG) held its 14th meeting. The NEWG ensures that neuroethics is fully integrated into the BRAIN Initiative as new tools and technologies emerge.

This digital campaign, taking place September 12-16, 2022, encourages leaders, producers, educators, and users to promote the importance of open science.

The BRAIN Initiative Alliance is hosting Tools, Tech & Theory: A BRAIN Initiative Social at the 2022 Society for Neuroscience Annual Meeting on November 13, 2022. Applications are now open! 

This program will open new opportunities to transform innovative neuroscience findings and theories from into new frameworks that distill and apply biological learning principles to the design of engineered learning systems.

Dr. Kate MacDuffie is an F32 award recipient whose research focuses on the neuroethical use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to predict autism spectrum disorder in infancy. The F32 funding opportunity supports the research training of promising researchers early in their postdoctoral training period. 

The centers will be created through a new notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) that is part of a family of NOFOs supporting the BRAIN Initiative Armamentarium transformative project. This NOFO is anticipated to be published in December 2022 with an expected application due date in June 2023 and an earliest start date in April 2024
