Stanford University to host upcoming workshop on neurobehavioral phenotyping

This week-long, in-person workshop, taking place on June 26-30, 2023, provides attendees with an interactive course on neurobehavior. Applications are due March 3, 2023. 

The Stanford Program for Integrated Neuroscience Technologies (SPrINT), with funding from the NIH BRAIN Initiative, is hosting Neurobehavioral Phenotyping for Disease Models and Drug Discovery on June 26-30, 2023. This week-long, in-person workshop at Stanford University will provide attendees with an interactive course on behavioral phenotyping, with emphasis on neurodegenerative disease models and drug discovery. The workshop will also feature automated tracking, quantification, and behavioral classification taught by collaborating BRAIN-funded researchers. 

There will be a two-day kickoff symposium on June 24-25, 2023, taught by scientists at the forefront of the neurobehavior field. This pre-workshop event is open to the broader scientific community. 

Workshop topics include:

  • Sensory & motor 

  • Anxiety & depression 

  • Addiction 

  • Automated methods
